Nikon D80, 10 megapixel camera
Flash units-- Nikon Dedicated SB 800 and SB 80DX
Kevin always brings at least one backup camera to all events he is involved with to eliminate any concern over equipment failure. He also keeps the cameras in proper working order with thorough cleaning of the units.
Many people think that digital is easier to use than film. It is actually much harder for the photographer. Digital imagery gives almost no latitude for improper exposures. The photographer must know what he/she is doing when working with digital cameras. Further, once the image is captured, the photographer must spend a lot of time reviewing the images taken and correcting them as needed before being saved and then taken for processing. With film, the photographs are taken and the film is immediately taken to a professional photo lab. Many people can not tell the difference between the digital and film image, as both are so close and exceptional. But, a digital camera can only take images comparable to the size of the megapixels, the lenses and experience of the photographer. A 5.0 megapixel or larger camera can create larger images, compared to a 2.0 megapixel camera which can process about a 5 by 7 image at best.
